How to Calibrate a CNC Copy Router
I. Pre‑Calibration Preparation
Power Off Check: Turn off the power supply first to ensure safety.
Tools Ready: Prepare a right‑angle square, spirit level, dial indicator, screwdriver, hex keys, etc.
Clean the Equipment: Clear the worktable, spindle, guide rails and template surface to prevent debris from affecting precision.
Runout Check: Use a dial indicator to measure spindle face and outer circle runout. Adjust or replace bearings if out of tolerance.
Perpendicularity: Check spindle‑to‑table perpendicularity with a square. Adjust spindle housing slightly if off, then retighten.
III. Guide Rail & Travel Calibration
Travel Limits: Check X/Y axis soft and hard limits to ensure smooth movement and no collision.
IV. Table & Template Calibration
V. Test Cut & Fine Adjustment
VI. Safety & Regular Maintenance
Regular Maintenance: Clean rails, spindle and dust system; lubricate periodically to maintain accuracy.
Be patient during calibration, proceed step by step, and your copy machining quality will improve significantly.
